Heritage Music Academy is open for lessons year-round, except for civic/provincially-mandated statutory holidays and specific ones near major holidays. In 2026, we are closed on these days:

- Monday, February 16, 2026 (Family Day)
- Friday, April 3, 2026 (Good Friday)
- Sunday, April 5, 2026 (Easter Sunday)
- Monday, May 18, 2026 (Victoria Day)
- Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (Canada Day)
- Monday, August 3, 2026 (Civic Holiday)
- Monday, September 1, 2026 (Labour Day)
- Monday, October 12, 2026 (Thanksgiving Day)
- Thursday, December 24, 2026 (Christmas Eve)
- Friday, December 25, 2026 (Christmas Day)
- Saturday, December 26, 2026 (Boxing Day)
- Thursday, December 31, 2026 (New Year’s Eve)
We follow the list of public holidays that can also be found at (https://www.statutoryholidays.com/ontario.php). We do NOT close on government holidays, but we close when It is near major holidays (Christmas/New Year). To summarize the differences:
- OPEN on Easter Monday, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Sep 30), Remembrance Day (Nov 11) (the government and bank holidays)
- CLOSED on Christmas Eve (Dec 24), Boxing Day (Dec 26) and New Year’s Eve (Dec 31)
We do not substitute statutory holidays that occur on weekends, as our school operates 7 days per week. If the student plans to be absent/away, please report an absence online.
