Heritage Music Academy is open for lessons year-round, except for civic/provincially-mandated statutory holidays and specific ones near major holidays. In 2024, we are closed on these days:

- Monday, February 19, 2024 (Family Day)
- Friday, March 29, 2024 (Good Friday)
- Sunday, March 31, 2024 (Easter Sunday)
- Monday, May 20, 2024 (Victoria Day)
- Monday, July 1, 2024 (Canada Day)
- Monday, August 5, 2024 (Civic Holiday)
- Monday, September 2, 2024 (Labour Day)
- Monday, October 14, 2024 (Thanksgiving Day)
- Tuesday, December 24, 2024 (Christmas Eve)
- Wednesday, December 25, 2024 (Christmas Day)
- Thursday, December 26, 2024 (Boxing Day)
- Tuesday, December 31, 2024 (New Year’s Eve)
We follow the list of public holidays that can also be found at (https://www.statutoryholidays.com/ontario.php). We do NOT close on government holidays, but we close when it’s near big holidays (Christmas/New Years). To summarize the differences:
- OPEN on Easter Monday, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Sep 30) Remembrance Day (Nov 11) (the government and bank holidays)
- CLOSED on Christmas Eve (Dec 24), Boxing Day (Dec 26) and New Year’s Eve (Dec 31)
We do not substitute statutory holidays that occur on weekends as our school operates 7 days per week.
