The Heritage Music Academy Curriculum is based on the philosophy of sequential learning. After excelling at a certain skill and level, the Heritage Music Academy Curriculum introduces new concepts meanwhile continuing to promote mastery of learned skills. The Heritage Music Academy Curriculum uses The Royal Conservatory of Music’s curriculum in conjunction with the Ontario Music curriculum 2006 while incorporating Bloom’s taxonomy of learning.  Students achieve higher level learning, enriched musical experiences, and reach their highest potential when they are guided by Bloom’s taxonomy.  Basic concepts and skills are fully conceptualized to later achieve a higher learning of synthesizing and creating based on learned skills.  Heritage Music Academy believes students can be excellent performers and knowledgeable musicians.  Students achieve a wide breath of musical knowledge based on technique, aural musicianship, performance skills as well as historical and cultural understanding.
